Who we are

House of Jaxi is a real estate media and education brand run by Jaxi Blu LLC. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean House of Jaxi and Jaxi Blu LLC. You can reach us at hello@houseofjaxi.com or by mail at 1511 3rd Ave, Suite 1002 1116, Seattle, WA 98101, United States.

What we collect and why

The newsletter. When you join on houseofjaxi.com, our signup form sends your email address, the page you joined from and your confirmation that you agree to receive emails to our email provider, beehiiv. We use it to send the newsletter you asked for. Like most email services, beehiiv records whether an email was opened and which links were clicked, which tells us what readers find useful.

The order and contact form. When you send it, we receive your name, your email, and anything else you choose to add, such as a phone number, a company or brokerage name, and notes. We also receive the page you sent it from and your IP address, which are included in the order email we receive. The form is emailed to us, and a copy is kept in a private order log on our web server in case an email is delayed. We use it to answer you and fill your order.

Agent introductions. When you ask us to introduce you to an agent, we receive what you enter: your name, your email, a phone number if you give one, whether you are buying or selling, the area, your budget range, your timing, and any notes. We share it with the one licensed agent we introduce you to and that agent's brokerage. Once a referral agreement is signed, the licensed broker that partners with House of Jaxi on referrals may also receive it to handle the referral paperwork. We share it with no one else.

Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own secure checkout page. Stripe collects your card or bank details, and we never see or store your full card number. Stripe tells us your name, your email, what you bought, and the billing details needed for receipts and taxes.

Headshot orders. When you order headshots, you send us selfies and an intake form. We use your selfies only for your order. Our image service processes them only to create your headshots, under our instructions, and no one else receives them. We never sell them, and we delete them within 30 days of delivering your finals unless you ask us to keep them for future looks. If you agreed to a before and after, we keep only that one selfie and that one final, and you can ask us to take it down at any time.

The flood zone lookup. When you type an address into the lookup, your browser sends it directly to the U.S. Census Bureau's address service, which turns it into map coordinates. Your browser then sends only those coordinates to FEMA's flood map service, to FEMA's National Risk Index data (hosted on Esri's ArcGIS servers), and to the National Weather Service, so they can return results for that spot. We do not receive or store the address. If you use the share link, the address is part of that link, so anyone you send it to can see it. Older share links that put the address after a question mark also reach our server logs, like any page address.

The calculators. The numbers you enter into our calculators and the Deal Analyzer are worked out in your browser. We do not receive or store them. The current mortgage rate shown on the site comes from our server and does not involve any information about you.

Basic technical data. Like nearly every website, our web host keeps standard server logs, which record things such as your IP address, your browser type, the pages you visit, and the time of each visit. We use them to keep the site running and secure. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.

Cookies

We do not use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels on houseofjaxi.com. Our newsletter signup forms are our own and pass your email to beehiiv through our server, so beehiiv does not load on our pages. If you use beehiiv's hosted signup page instead, beehiiv's own privacy policy applies there. Stripe may set its own cookies on its checkout page.

We do not track you across other websites, so the site does not respond to Do Not Track signals. Google Fonts, beehiiv and Stripe may collect technical data as described above.

What we never do

When you ask for an agent introduction, we send your details to that agent at your direction. Apart from that, we do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for advertising, and we never post it to a lead marketplace.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run House of Jaxi: our web and email host, Hostinger; our newsletter provider, beehiiv; our payment processor, Stripe; and, for headshot orders, the image service we use to create your headshots. Agent introduction details go to the agent you asked to meet and their brokerage and, once a referral agreement is signed, to our partner broker, as described above. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

How long we keep it

Newsletter details stay on the list until you unsubscribe. To limit repeated signup attempts, our server briefly keeps a record of recent attempts from each connection, and it is cleared automatically. Order, payment and contact records are kept for as long as we need them to serve you and to keep accurate business and tax records. Headshot selfies are deleted within 30 days of delivery unless you ask us to keep them, as described above. You can ask us to delete our copy of anything you sent us at any time, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your choices

Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link. You can write to hello@houseofjaxi.com at any time to ask what we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Some states give their residents additional privacy rights, and we honor those requests no matter where you live.

Children

House of Jaxi is made for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and the site uses a secure connection. No website or email system can be made completely secure, so please do not send us anything more sensitive than an order needs.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
